AVENCREST AVIATION · AIRCRAFT ACQUISITION

Buying a private jet in Saudi Arabia

An aircraft purchase for a Saudi buyer starts with two parallel briefs: what the aircraft must do, and how it will be owned and operated.

Whether your intended base is Riyadh or Jeddah, distinguish recurring domestic and regional travel from intercontinental journeys. Avencrest welcomes principal and family-office enquiries; the aircraft’s actual location and availability are confirmed separately.

Map the mission around your Saudi base

List normal departure airports, passenger numbers, luggage and annual utilisation. Separate short regional sectors from longer international trips. Note the cabin needs that are essential for your family or team, including privacy, seated working space and rest arrangements.

Ask an operational specialist to assess the proposed aircraft against airport conditions, payload, temperature and reserves. A route comparison based only on a straight-line map is not a flight-planning assessment. Keep any proposed nonstop routes conditional until the particular aircraft has been evaluated.

Create a useful aircraft shortlist

Compare cabin priorities and the ownership budget before deciding that a larger aircraft is automatically the better acquisition. The Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X offer different starting points for a mission review. The G700 and Global 8000 can form part of an ultra-long-range comparison; the ACJ TwoTwenty brings a different scale of cabin planning.

Those comparisons concern aircraft models. Request the individual year, hours, cycles, approved layout, maintenance position and actual photographs before comparing offers.

Resolve registration and permissions before commitment

Saudi aircraft registration and private aircraft operation have separate requirements. GACA publishes aircraft registration rules and guidance on private aircraft operations. Your advisers should confirm the current rules, the proposed owner’s eligibility and the permissions relevant to the intended aircraft and use.

Begin with GACA’s official services portal and the Saudi government aircraft registration service. A purchase enquiry or ownership contract is not an operating permission. We do not claim GACA approval or guarantee a registration result.

Inspect the aircraft, not only the presentation

Obtain a records summary before scheduling travel to view the aircraft. Appoint an independent inspection provider and agree the scope, access to records and process for resolving defects. Ask whether maintenance programmes are transferable and what work or costs fall due around the proposed delivery date.

Use the aircraft evidence pack checklist to track open questions. Verify that photographs, equipment descriptions and the contract all refer to the same airframe. Model brochures and alternative cabin renders are not evidence of installed equipment.

Agree commercial terms and delivery responsibilities

Request a proposal identifying the aircraft, currency, asking price, inspection arrangements and delivery basis. Separate purchase cost from crew, management, insurance, hangarage, maintenance and operating reserves. Obtain transaction-specific advice on import, tax, title and any applicable restrictions.

Agree how funds and payment instructions will be verified, what documents must accompany delivery and when each party’s obligations begin. Read our payment and ownership support policies alongside the written contract. General website information must not replace professional review.

Buyer questions

Can a Saudi buyer enquire about the collection?

Yes. Include your intended base, model preferences, recurring destinations and timeframe. Availability and the individual aircraft specification must still be confirmed.

Does purchasing an aircraft permit me to operate it in Saudi Arabia?

No. Purchase, registration and operating permissions are separate. Ask your appointed advisers to check current GACA requirements for the proposed aircraft and operation.

Should I choose an aircraft by maximum range?

No. Match cabin, payload, airport requirements, realistic routes and ownership costs. Have a qualified operator assess any route assumptions.

Price on request. Individual specification and availability require verification. An enquiry does not confirm a viewing or purchase.
