Dassault Falcon 6X vs Falcon 8X

The Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X merit different questions. Begin with how you use the cabin and where you fly, then assess the available aircraft rather than treating a model comparison as a purchase recommendation.

Define cabin priorities in practical terms

Bring a seating and sleeping brief to the discussion. How many people need to work at the same time? Does the principal need a separate rest area? Is table space more important than additional lounge seating? Compare actual floorplans, seat arrangements and door positions. A cabin that looks spacious in a wide-angle photograph may not have the layout your travelling party needs.

Have the mission assessed independently

Ask a qualified operator to review your recurring airports, planned loads and operating assumptions. Do not infer airport suitability from a brochure or infer dispatch capability from a map radius. For both aircraft, the assessment should consider the same seasonal and reserve assumptions. Keep the resulting analysis with the purchase brief so everyone is comparing the same mission.

Inspect the aircraft-specific records

Review airframe hours and cycles, engine records, maintenance events, modification status and the current equipment list. Clarify which programmes are in place and which provisions, if any, transfer to a buyer. An independent inspection and records review should establish the condition of the offered aircraft; a model’s reputation cannot substitute for that work.

View with a written checklist

During a viewing, test the cabin workflow rather than only inspecting upholstery. Walk from the galley to each seating area. Check usable table space, storage and the access route to rest areas. Ask for demonstrations of installed entertainment and connectivity where appropriate. Record observations separately from promised rectification so they can be reconciled with the final agreement.

Choose against your requirements

Build a side-by-side record of what is confirmed, what is optional and what is still unknown. Compare acquisition terms, near-term maintenance needs and operating quotations with your advisers. A disciplined shortlist is more useful than a generic winner: the preferred aircraft should satisfy the actual mission and the documented acquisition criteria.
